Areas of Expertise

Her interest in the power of design, particularly in external environment, to find holistic solutions to address complex societal and environmental problems stems from her experiences of growing up in east Africa, central London and now the rural North. She leads the practice which undertakes commissions across the UK focusing on the delivery of high quality, creative and thoughtful public realm, regeneration and community interventions and continues to be involved on projects ‘end to end’ across a wide variety of project types and client groups.

Recent competition winning designs include the London Festival of Architecture ‘Caring for Cyclists’ initiative as well as shortlisting for the Iron Line, Cumbria. Notable projects include Holland House Terrace & Café (Civic Trust Award Winner 2021) Sowerby Bridge Town Centre Masterplan and Welsh Church Kids In Need and Distress project in Liverpool. She is a High Street Task Force Expert, Deputy Chair of the HS2 Independent Design Review Panel as well as a member of PlacesMatter and INTEGREAT regional panels. Recently a juror for the RIBA Awards, she also supports Sheffield University Professional Review Group.
