I am an urbanist with a multi-disciplinary background in regeneration and urban design.

I have extensive experience in masterplanning and town centre revitalisation strategies throughout the UK, Europe and overseas. I specialise in delivering complex city centre regeneration schemes, and I sit on several design review panels and am currently a Design Council Built Environment Expert. I am currently employed both by AR Urbanism, specialising in masterplanning, and Steer, specialising in mobility and urban design. The majority of my work has always been with public sector clients and relies on truly participatory co-design techniques.

I have a strong interest in the role of new technologies and forms of mobility in relation to the functioning of cities. Recently, I have published a book on the implications of connected autonomous vehicles on urban morphology (2019 Automatic for the City – ISBN: 9781859468616). I have also published articles and academic papers on the regeneration of East London. Recent professional achievements include an award for the Hiendaranta Masterplan Competition in Finland, the 2019 Liveable Neighbourhood project of the year, and the Paddington Place masterplan competition.
