V&A Dundee made Hazel White and Mike Press joint recipients of its Design Champions award for their work in Open Change “as committed advocates of the power of design to change lives – by giving professionals and communities the tools and confidence to come together to make those changes themselves.”

In his previous academic career he was professor at three UK universities, leading research and establishing courses in design management and service design – and co-author of key texts on design which have been translated into Russian, Spanish and Chinese. As a popular public speaker he has delivered keynotes across the world.
