Areas of Expertise

She has 30 years’ senior-level cultural leadership experience via her international consultancy, Lucy Bullivant & Associates, for public, private and third sector clients including Enfield Council, Kommune Oslo Bydel Bjerke, the Latvian Development and Investment Agency, Qatar University and ANCB Berlin. Lucy has delivered prestigious multidisciplinary cultural projects addressing social inclusion at the Oslo Architecture Triennale (2019), São Paulo Biennale of Architecture (2017) and Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism/Architecture, Shenzhen (2015-6).

She is a chair of the Lambeth Design Review Panel, and a Trustee of Temple Bar Trust promoting diversity in the built environment. She has a PhD in adaptive planning from the School of Art, Architecture and Design, London Metropolitan University and a MA(RCA) in Cultural History from the Royal College of Art.

In 2010 she was elected Honorary Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects for her services to sustainable architectural culture internationally, a lifetime award. Her published books include Masterplanning Futures (Routledge, 2012), which won the Book of the Year Award, Urban Design Group Awards, 2014, and Recoded City: Co-creating urban futures, on participatory placemaking, co-authored with Thomas Ermacora (2016).
