Areas of Expertise

He assists clients in the private and public domain who regulate, manage, maintain and develop UK property assets and landholdings: delivering conservation, social value and public realm benefits on infrastructure and regeneration projects.

His enthusiasm and expertise extends beyond narrow historic environment sub-disciplines. He relates archaeology, built environment, historic landscapes and designed spaces to evidence based ethno-ecological strategies that respond to long-term multi-scalar environmental and landscape dynamics, especially in urban settings.

Ken is an innovator and analysis, with a creative, narrative-driven, design-aware approach to problem solving. His keen interest in contemporary cultural and environment issues, including climate resilience and social equality, inspires insightful storytelling and artistic placemaking.

An instinctive and persuasive collaborator, his open and collegiate working practices creates strong, trusting relationships. He has led multi-disciplinary teams within the planning, environmental design and engineering consultancy sector for 20+ years. He provides 10+ years’ experience of technical lead roles on Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects, working with various Infrastructure Providers, including Thames Tideway, Heathrow Expansion and HS2.
