Darren is a strategic designer and brand consultant. He is the founder and design director of the brand agency The Engine Room.
With over 25 years of experience in embedding design into business; he has worked extensively with SMEs, global businesses and public sector organisations delivering strategic branding and communications projects. With a rare capacity to think at a strategic level whilst retaining an eye on the fine detail, his focus on design thinking for business and user-centred techniques make him an expert in designing ‘different’.
Darren is a Fellow of the RSA, an Alumni of Amsterdam-based Design Thinkers Academy and co-founder of Wilson’s Republic, a Yorkshire-based creative network. His design team has six DBA Design Effectiveness Awards to its name including the 2017 Grand Prix winner.
