She is a chartered landscape architect in the UK, and also worked for a number of years for the City of Vancouver, Canada, implementing innovative and sustainable public realm projects. In 2013, Alexandra founded URBAN, a practice with a vision to bring joy to people’s everyday experience.

Posts held before URBAN included Design Principal for EMEA at AECOM, and London Director of Martha Schwartz Partners. Alexandra’s work has focussed in the UK and abroad, including work in Russia, Asia, and the Middle East. Notable projects include: the Landscape Framework for AlUla, Saudi Arabia, nominated for the Sir David Attenborough Award for Enhancing Biodiversity; and, recently, a green and blue infrastructure strategy for all of South Essex, winning two awards for Tackling Climate Change and Excellence in Landscape Planning.

Other design work includes the SKY TV Campus; Euston Station Masterplan; and an alternative Masterplan for Mount Pleasant. Aside from her work at URBAN, Alexandra sits on the Highways England Design Panel, and lectures at conferences and universities including Harvard and The Bartlett, UCL.
