Alistair Barr is a senior lecturer practitioner at Anglia Ruskin University . He teaches third year with an emphasis on urban neighbourhoods ,sustainability , smart buildings and urban agriculture.

These passions spring from Barr Gazetas the practice that he founded in 1993 .

BG design intelligent buildings that always challenge every part of the given brief.They have been recognised with awards for sustainability , design , heritage and urbanism . For every project Alistair believes that space is the client .

He is Board Director at the Academy of Urbanism and also leads their Great Streets award programme.He also mentors Young Urbanists for them .

Alistair has spoken at architectural events in London , New York , Moscow and Cairo about sustainability , urban design and urban agriculture .

His articles have been published in Blueprint, The Architects Journal ,The journal of the London Society ,Urban Design Journal ,The modern House and Creative Superheroes .
