Alongside her active role with the Design Council, Christina Sinclair is the Director of Edinburgh World Heritage.
Her backgrounds are in Architectural Design (MABArch, University of Edinburgh) alongside Town Planning and heritage conservation (MSc European Urban Conservation, University of Dundee). She also has expertise in sustainability and how this interacts with the historic environment, and received a distinction for her Masters dissertation on the subject.
She has particular expertise in positively conserving and managing change to the historic environment – encompassing a wide range experience of proactive conservation, new development and community engagement. She is a passionate ambassador for the benefits of good new design, our valued historic places and what can be achieved when the two are brought together creatively.
With experience in senior-level roles from many perspectives– ranging from national bodies (Historic England), private sector delivery (Purcell Architecture Ltd), local government and the charity sector (Edinburgh World Heritage) – she brings strong collaborative skills to achieve the best outcomes for our built environment.
