As the nation looks to ‘build back better,’ the need to show the contribution design can make to enable positive change

As the nation looks to ‘build back better,’ the need to show the contribution design can make to enable positive change has never been more important.

This summer we’ll be launching Design Economy 2021, the latest in our ground-breaking research series on the value of design in the UK. This will be an invaluable tool for anyone with an interest in design.

This time round we’re doing things differently.

We’ll be exploring design’s social and environmental impact, as well as its economic contribution, giving us the most comprehensive assessment to date of the state of design in the UK.

We’ll also be sharing our findings on a new interactive platform where you can access key statistics and stories, blogs, films and join important events!

Be one of the first to see Design Economy 2021 by .

The design economy refers to value created by those employed in design roles in a wide variety of industries – from design intensive sectors such as web design or animation, to designers and design-engineers in automotive or aerospace companies.  You can find out more about our previous research .
