I’ve been delivering major healthcare infrastructure projects for nearly 20 years leading large mutil-disciplinary teams to deliver excellent new environments to support the delivery of high quality patient care.

I was responsible for the delivery of the £1.2bn New Hospital Programme at Barts Health delivering over 1100 acute beds in east London at Barts and Whitechapel. The hospitals represented the largest UK health project and were delivered on time and budget. The complex inner city urban sites were transformed whilst clinical operations were maintained throughout construction. For seven years I led the redevelopment programme at GOSH delivering Phases 2 and 3 of the redevelopment programme along with a host of smaller projects.

A particular highlight is the Zayed Research Centre which combines clinical and research activity in a single building with stunning design and art. All projects focus on the patient environment with a principle of creating a healing environment. Art is considered from the beginning and the projects have won several awards. I’m proud of my role as an advisor on the NHS net carbon zero expert panel and leading the drive for sustainable solutions in the delivery of healthcare infrastructure.
